Shays is nestled in the midst of Monument Square in Portland, bordering the arts and financial districts. We offer the prices of a noontime eatery in an atmosphere that is hip but not pretentious. It's a great place to meet for drinks or take your date out for a nice dinner. Join us inside and let the hustle and bustle of the day fade away in our relaxed surroundings. Or spend a warm day outside, enjoying comfortable seating with a full view of the Square and some of Portland's best people watching.
We offer classic, palate-pleasing (and wallet-pleasing!) Pub food with special Shays touches. Try our Caramelized Pear Quesadilla, or walk on the mild side with our Mozzarella Salad. There are appetizers such as crab cakes, shrimp cocktail and buffalo wings. We serve soups, salads, pizza, sandwiches, paninis, burgers, pasta, and an assortment of seafood. Whatever you eat, you will taste the difference that fresh ingredients and a little bit of love make.
Guests immediately notice the Boston Red Sox painting above the open kitchen. Additional works of art, by Portland's very own local artists, line the walls.
